'No others except Cong will be capable of bringing development'

Political affairs in Manipur has its very own unique features which cannot be compared to other States of India, Kangpokpi A/C MLA Nemcha Kipgen asserted adding that no other party's Government except Congress party's will be capable of bringing development in the State.
The MLA was speaking at the Nav Varsodsav (new year) celebration at Ngahmun playground yesterday organized jointly by the Nepali Sanskriti Suraksha Parishad, Manipur and Shree Shree Durga Mandir Seva Samiti, Paspati, Sadar Hills.
Indian National Congress is undoubtedly the only political party who genuinely believes in secularism having no severance in religion, Kipgen stated while adding that it will not be wise to have dividing wall among the people on the basis of caste, creed or religion.
The MLA who graced the occasion as chief guest further stated that considering the various communities living peacefully without any segregation of caste, creed and religion, the State can be rightly called a mini-India with an exceptional uniqueness.
He further stressed the importance of peace in a society and pointed out that peace is the key factor which can deliver development to all.
The MLA further conveyed warm regards to the people on the occasion of Nav Varsodsav wishing a productive and peaceful year ahead.
Dressed in the traditional Nepali attire MLA Nemcha Kipgen unveiled Nav Varsodsav flag shortly after lighting the New Year candle along with the other dignitaries present at the occasion.
The MLA also distributed shawls and Nepali traditional caps to 5 Nepali aged participants during the function.
Bikash Basnet, MDC ADC Sadar Hills and Mani Kumar Limbu, founder, Roses School, Kanglatongbi also attended the celebration as guest of honour and president respectively.
Other distinguished guest of the evening were Lamkholen Kipgen, MDC ADC, Sadar Hills, Rajkumari Sedai, former Zilla Parishad Kanglatongbi, Hari Nepal, GB Irang Pt-I, Dilip Katwal, social worker, Prem Narayan, president, Nepali Sanskriti Suraksha Parishad, Manipur and Dr Nandalal Baral, chairman, Paspati.
Delivering the keynote address of the celebration Mukti Gautam, Secretary NSSP (M) likened the loss of culture to the loss of identity.
The celebration of Nav Varsodsav in the State started with an objective to preserve Nepali languages and culture from 2011 with the inception of NSSP (M) .
The celebration rituals of Nav Varsodsav is similar to that of Meitei's Cheiraoba, Mukti Gautam informed.
The new executive body of Nepali Sanskriti Suraksha Parishad, Manipur was also announced during the function.
Nepali dance by various dance troupes marked the celebration held today.
