Father's Day celebrated at Saparmeina

A father being the head of the family has responsibilities for peaceful co-existence of his family which directly and and indirectly associated with the society, asserted Ngamthang Haokip, IFC Minister, Government of Manipur, on the occasion of the Fathers' Day at KBC Centre Church, Salam Village Saparmeina today.
The IFC Minister, who graced the celebration as the Chief guest continued that every father should understand and executed their duties and responsibilities well towards their wife, children as well as to the society so as to give peace a place.
As a part of the Fathers' Day celebration world wide today, Men Work Committee of KBC Centre Church, Salam Village Sapormeina has organized the 31st Fathers' Day celebration of the Church under the theme 'Be strong and of a good courage' .
Lunthang Haokip, EM(Vety.&Med), ADC Sadar Hills and Letboi Vaiphei, Officer-in-Charge of Loktak Police Station, Bishnupur District attended the programme as the Guest of Honour and Functional President respectively.
Letboi Vaiphei, OC Loktak PS, who is also a native of Sapormeina as well as an active member of the Church lauded the organizing committee for organizing an enduring function so as to impart spiritual education to all the fathers of the Church.
He maintained that fathers should render their responsibilities and duties effectively towards the family and mould it into a peaceful and happy family.
Various competition like solo, duet, trio, debate, extempore speech, traditional musical instrument, Bible verse recitation were also held during the programme.
Thanglen Kipgen, Organizing Committee Chairman asserted that the basic objective of the celebration was to instill the qualities a father needs and revive it in the society.
handmade cards and other gifts were presented by the children to their fathers to mark the occasion.
