ASMIS software launched

A software of Aided School Management Information System called ASMIS software was launched today at Hotel Classic Grande (Imperial hall) during the opening event of Shaala Siddhi training programme.
Education and Transport Minister Kh Ratankumar Singh, Education (S) and Transport Commissioner M Lakshmikumar Singh and Director of Education (S) N Praveen Singh, graced the opening event as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
Speaking at the occasion Education and Transport Minister Kh Ratankumar said the State Government has started providing LPG cylinders to 300 selected Government schools.
A sum of Rs 16,50,000 has been for the purpose.
To avail the benefit, school management must register themselves at IOCs by paying a sum of Rs 3000 and an additional Rs 500 to buy stove.
The ASMIS software launched today has been installed in 3000 tablets.
Of these, 981 tablets will be distributed to different Government schools (127 schools in Bishnupur, 33 schools at Chandel, 94 schools at Churachandpur, 164 at Imphal East, 175 at Imphal West, 109 in Senapati, 47 at Tamenglong, 153 at Thoubal and 75 at Ukhrul).
The tablets installed with ASMIS software will register the fingerprints of teachers and students of the respective school to monitor attendance, the Minister said.
Through the software, information regarding developmental works taken up in the school and other schemes implemented can be easily accessed.
The Minister further stressed on the importance of education in a society.
The opening function of the training programme cum launching of ASMIS software was held under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, State Mission Authority and State Implementation Society Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan, Manipur.
