AIEDP on fashion designing held

An Advance Integrated Entrepreneurship Development Programme (AIEDP) on fashion designing organised by National Small Industries Corporation Limited was kick-started at M/S MTE Apparel at Yaiskul yesterday.
The inaugural function of the programme to be conducted over a span of one month was attended by TN Singh, Assistant Director (Statistics), MSME Development Institute, Takyelpat; P Loken Singh, Chairman, Manipur Industries Development Council; A Priyokumar Singh, General Manager, Manipur Industries Development Corporation (MANIDCO) and Y Raghumani Singh, Advisor MIDC, Retd General Manager District Industries Centre and L Ibetombi Devi, Manager, NSIC, Imphal as presidium members.

Speaking at the occasion, proprietor of M/S MTE Apparel, Mayanglambam Sobita said that trainees will impart necessary measuring, cutting and sewing lessons during the month-long programme.
In, all 20 trainees are participating and they will be provided certificates with the completion of the programme, she continued.
The month-long training programme is being organised with the objective of creating self employment opportunities using flexible and cost effective MSME ( Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises) projects and also turning job seekers into job providers.
She further stated a similar but 6-month long training programme is commencing shortly and issuance of form for participating the particular programme is underway.
She also called on youth who have completed their education, however are in search of employment, to also consider such kind of career option and developmental programme which can enhance productivity.
