Pension money distributed to beneficiaries at Heirok

Moirangthem Ibotombi Memorial Charitable Trust has organized a simple function to distribute its biannual pension of Rs 1,200 to 1582 pensioners of Heirok AC including senior citizens, widows and disabled persons who are deprived of any Govt pension scheme at Shikhong Khunnou Community Hall today.
Speaking at the occasion, chairman of the Trust, son of late Moirangthem Ibotombi and former Minister M Okendro said that Moirangthem Ibotombi Memorial Charitable Trust has played vital role in making Manipur a stable, peaceful and equitable society by extending help to numbers of poor families in these many years which would not be possible without the support of the public of Heirok AC while adding that the Trust has been putting every efforts for a crime-free and peaceful society for the last 24 years of its existence and will continue to do so in future.
He further said that the late leader M Ibotombi during his lifetime put all his heart and soul for the betterment of poor, impoverish and destitute persons and to fulfill his ambitions, the Trust has been working hard days and nights.
He also said that the Trust is all set to build houses for some poor family of Heirok AC before the commemoration function of 25th memorial day of late leader (silver jubilee) .
He also expressed gratitude to the public of Heirok AC for extending monetary assistance to the Trust, which has enabled it to help scores of poor people including the financial assistance to more than 15 doctors from Heirok AC who got selected in medical profession and Rs 10,000 aid to each cancer patient.
Secretary of the Trust, M Rameshwor while delivering the keynote speech, spoke in detail about the charitable pension scheme of the Trust.
The function which saw presence of more than 1,000 people from different parts of Heirok AC was attended by nominee member of Wangkhem ZP Kh Sobha; Councillor Shikhong-Sekmai Municipal Council ward no 6 Rashida; Councillor ward no 8 Hemlata Devi; Councillors of Heirok Nagar Panchayat ward no 3, 7, 9 N Dilip Singh, Kh Jayenti Devi and E Premjit.
