NPP welcomes 5 Councillors, organises felicitation prog

Deputy Chief Y Joykumar today stated that National People's Party (NPP) will lead in all the upcoming elections and will strengthen the party in the North East India region.
The Deputy Chief Minister was speaking at the felicitation programme of 5 Councillors of Lilong Municipal Council who have joined NPP.
Y Joykumar said, "With the joining of the 5 Councillors, the party will definitely be stronger.
In the upcoming Meghalaya Assembly election as well, NPP will win most of the seats" .
He also claimed that all the NPP Ministers of the State Government are working unitedly for the welfare of the people.
Similarly, all the 5 Councillors who have joined the party should work together with sincerity.

"You have quit the Congress party and joined NPP.
Do not break our trust," Joykumar said and added that Congress party in the State has become very weak and the party MLAs are unlikely to win the next election.
Art and Culture Minister L Jayantakumar while welcoming the newly joined Councillors said, "Many Councillors of Keishampat AC have also joined NPP.
Congress party is responsible for its failures.
Congress will not win in Meghalaya Assembly election, NPP will win and form the Government" .
IFCD and YAS Minister Letpao Haokip said, "NPP is a secular party.
The party respects every religion and community.
If we continue to work in co-operation with one another, the party will one day certainly form a Government in the State" .
The 5 Councillors who were feted today were Imran Ahmed (Ward No 1), Sayeed Ahamed (Ward No 2), Ajmal Nisa (Ward No 3), Abdul Barik (Ward No 6) and Wahengbam Meenakumari (Ward No 9) .
