Free health camps conducted in different areas of Thoubal district

Trained Nurses Association of India, Manipur branch, Voluntary Organisation of Women Manipur, Indira Memorial Club and Leishangthem Youth Sporting Association jointly organised a free health camp at TMK English School, Leishangthem today .
Speaking to the media, president of Trained Nurses Association of India, Manipur branch Th Nandarani Devi stated that the health camp was conducted to alleviate the hardship of the flood victims in Leishangthem areas .
Four OPD blocks for Medicine, Gynaecology and paediatrics were opened where a total of 300 people were administered for medical check ups and medicines were also distributed for free .
Pamphlets on awareness of diseases like diarrhoea and other water borne diseases were also distributed to the participants .
The people lauded the organisers especially Indira Memorial club and Leishangthem Young Sporting Association for making the camp a success .
Meanwhile, a free medical camp for children of children homes and disadvantaged people around Wangbal was held at Royal Voluntary Services complex, Wangbal today .
The camp was organised by Royal Voluntary Services, Wangbal in collaboration with MO in charge of Thoubal district hospital L Joganda and his team .
Disadvantaged people residing at Iramdam Santhel Ningol, Swadar Graha for destitute women and Ujala Home, Wangbal also took part in the camp where medicines were also distributed for free .
Secretary of Royal Voluntary Services, Wangbal expressed gratitude towards the district hospital, Thoubal team for taking part in organising the camp .
A camp on “Reproductive Child Health” was organised by District Health Society, Thoubal under the supervision of CMO, Thoubal at Hijam Khunou village, Heirok AC today .
Speaking to the media, District programme manager of District Health Society, Thoubal Ch Basanta Singh stated that the camp was held in association with PHC Nongpok Sekami and a nearly 200 people took part in the health camp.
He asserted that the health camp which have been organised since the first week of July has covered a total of 10,000 people in 52 health camps.
