One more SSA teacher / MBBS student detected

The School Education Department today cancelled the appointment order of an SSA Primary teacher who was found pursuing MBBS course at Rajasthan with immediate effect and instructed the ZEO concerned to file an FIR against the said individual.
Interestingly it was also found that the brother of the said individual had been attending school as a teacher in his place.
According to an official source, the SSA Primary teacher has been identified as Waikhom Haripriyo Singh s/o Waikhom Naba-chandra Singh of Thoubal Achouba Bazar Makha Leikai.
He was appointed as a Primary teacher in September 25, 2012 and was posted at Chandrakhong Primary School, Thoubal, but was later transferred to Chingjaroi Primary School.
The School Education Department launched an investigation against Wai- khom Haripriyo after getting specific information that he was pursuing an MBBS course at JNL Medical College, Ajmer (Rajasthan) .
The Department also sent a notice to the said Medical College to ascertain the situation.
Accordingly, ZEO Zone III submitted a report to the Director of the School Education Department that Waikhom Haripriyo was indeed pursuing an MBBS course at the said Medical College and his brother, had been taking his place as the Primary teacher back home.
Based on the report, the Director of School Education Department issued an order cancelling the appointment order of Waikhom Haripriyo as a Primary teacher.
The order also directed ZEO Zone III, Thoubal to file an FIR against Waikhom Haripriyo for drawing salary of a Primary teacher while pursuing MBBS course, within a period of one month.
The order further instructed the ZEO to retrieve the Primary teacher's salary which the said individual had taken within six months, the source added.
