Seminar on Digi-Dhan held

Kangpokpi, April 04 2017:
In connection with the launching of Digi-Dhan in the State, district administration Kangpokpi organized a one day seminar on Digi-Dhan at Kangpokpi district today.
The Digi-Dhan (Go Cashless, Go Digital) seminar was held at the conference hall, DC complex, Kangpokpi DHQs which was participated by all district level officers and Managers of all Banks operating in Kangpokpi district.
Additional DC Kangpokpi, H Balkrisna and SDC (HQs) Kaigoulal Kipgen also attended the seminar chaired by Deputy Commissioner of Kangpokpi district, IAS, T Ranjit Singh.

Speaking at the occasion, T Ranjit Singh said that the seminar is aimed to promote digital revolution and corruption free district as well as to promote cashless economy through digital mode of transaction and to spread awareness about it.
He stated that since November 9, 2016, after the announcement of demonetization the volume of digital transaction has gone up by 350 percent while the Government has time and again claimed that 'Digital India' would mean an honest Government and corruption free so as to strengthen the economy.
He further said that two schemes namely Lucky Grahak Yojana and Digi Dhan Vyapar Yojana has been launched by the NITI Ayog and National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI) adding that Lucky Grahak Yojana scheme is for the customers and Digi Dhan Vyapar Yojana scheme is for the merchants.
The two schemes focus to create a behavioural change regarding digital payments among the public while the task of creating awareness, campaign on advocacy among the people has been undetaken by NITI Ayog, he stated.
