Imphal, April 03 2017:
The CorCom has asked one Konsam (O) Sanahanbi w/o Konsam Bimol of Kwakeithel Akham Leikai to communicate with the joint front of several UG groups by April 30 .
A statement issued by CorCom media co-ordinator Ksh Yoiheiba reiterated that Sanahanbi collected a huge amount of money in the name of CorCom fraudulently from some people and she went into hiding even as she was called for verification of her crimes.
She paid no heed to the CorCom's repeated letters of summon sent and delivered through her family members and neighbours.
Subsequently CorCom published a statement in media highlighting the criminal acts of Sanahanbi in September last year.
Later, Sanahanbi came out with a clarification claiming that she was not hiding but went to Delhi on some personal business.
She further contended that she did not collect any amount of money from any one fraudulently.
What CorCom published in media about Sanahanbi were facts established after thorough investigation by an enquiry committee.
As such, Sanahanbi's clarification was a blatant lie and CorCom took serious note of it, the committee conveyed.
Sanahanbi's statement smacked of sheer disrespect to the CorCom and it was an attempt to project the liberation movement in the wrong light.
Claiming herself to be in charge of CorCom's 'project', Sanahanbi convinced some people that a loan of Rs five crore would be given out of which 50 per cent would be subsidy and the remaining 50 per cent should be repaid with interest of one per cent.
Saying that the loanees should first deposit certain amounts, she collected Rs 75 lakh from five people in 2015 .
She again collected Rs 91,40,000 from 26 individuals in the name of CorCom by promising jobs in Health Department and RIMS, admission to BSc Nursing and MBBS courses and jobs in Manipur University.
If Sanahanbi fails to communicate to CorCom by April 30, she must face dire consequences, it added.
