Security forces conduct flag march at Jiribam

Jiribam, June 02 2023: Security personnel of Jiribam district carried out a flag march today to provide reassurance to fearful residents of the district.

The flag march started from SP Bungalow located at IB Leikai, passed through Raniveng, Chandrapur, Dibong, Uchathol till Kamaranga Khashi village.

Security personnel belonging to Manipur Police, CRPF, Assam Rifles and Manipur Commando participated in the flag march.

Speaking in this connection, SP Maharambam Pradip stated that security coordination meetings are held daily at the office of Jiribam Deputy Commissioner.

The intelligence report received are discussed among the security agencies deployed at Jiribam district, he added.

So far, no unwanted incidents have happened in Jiribam, but people are anxious and fearful because of the volatile situation.

Thus, the flag march was collectively organised the flag march to provide assurance to the public that there are large numbers of security personnel to safeguard them, he added.

Tapan Kumar, CO 87 Battalion CRPF also spoke in this connection and called against rumour mongering and assured that security forces will undertake all measures to guarantee the safety of the public.
