Assessment Camp held

The District Disability Rehabilitation Centre (DDRC) - a project run by NGO, People Advanced in Social Services (PASS) organised a district level UDID Assessment Camp at District Hospital Churachandpur with over a hundred people having varying degrees of disabilities successfully enrolled in the swavlamban portal.
The camp held in collaboration with Social Human Action for Rural Empowerment (SHARE) Society and District Hospital, Churachandpur laid focus on people residing in remote areas of the district.
It was also a culmination of a survey PASS had conducted in the villages of Sangaikot, Henglep, Chongkhojou, Singhat, Tuibuong and Kangvai since the month of January, 2020 .
PASS programme manager, Lamneihoi said the assessment camp was conducted with the objective of facilitating maximum number of persons with disabilities residing in the remote villages of Sangaikot, Henglep, Chongkhojou, Singhat and other blocks of Churachandpur in obtaining UDID card.
The UDID card will serve as a basis to avail schemes and benefits provided by the Government through various Ministries and Departments, she added.
