Imphal, August 01 2011:
All Tribal Students' Union Manipur (ATSUM) has decried the Government for not giving marks concession to ST/SC candidates in the Teachers' Eligibility Test (TET).
The Government has set 50 percent as the cut off mark for sitting in the test.
ATSUM, in a press release, pointed out that the duration given for submission of form is also too short.
It demanded for extension by atleast 15-20 days from the set deadline of August 3 .
ATSUM also pressed on arranging examination centres in all the district headquarters.
The students body further warned that it would impose a 24-hour hill districts bandh from the midnight of August 3 if the Government remains silent on its demands.
