Go to Village mission : DCs asked to submit villages' details by Apr 25

The State Government has directed all the respective DCs to submit detailed reports regarding the villages of the State, in view of ensuring the success of the B JP led State Government's Go to Village initiative which aims to bring development to the remote part/villages of the State.
According to an official Source, the Chief Minister's Go to Village mission is planned for launch on May 1 and a meeting of Ministers, Administrative Secretaries, Heads of Departments and DCs, chaired by the Chief Minister himself, was held on April 5 at City Convention Centre, Palace Compound, for minute discussing regarding the mission as well as for creating a detailed layout of the mission.
Under the new mission, Ministers and MLAs will visit the villages of various Constituencies and gather the feedbacks and the grievances of the people or the benefits received by the people from the Government.
The State Government is also planning to take up various developmental steps for the people under the new mission.
The Go to Village mission will also help spread awareness about the various State and Central benefit schemes to the people of the villages, the source added.
The source informed that Chief Secretary Dr J Suresh Babu, in a bid to ensure the success and efficiency of the programme, has issued notification to the DCs directing them to submit detailed reports of all the villages in their respective districts on or before April 25 .
The detailed reports will include the total population of the villages as per the 2011 census report, detailed reports about Education, Health, PHED, Agriculture, Social Welfare, Horticulture, CAF&PD, RD, Power/MANIREDA, Home Department, Institutional Finance/Finance Department and road connectivity etc.
The source explained that under the Education sector, details about the presence of Primary schools, Upper Primary, High School and Higher Secondary School as well as the number of out of school children will be collected.
Reports on presence of Health Centres, number of Chief Ministergi Hakselgi Tengbang (CMHT) beneficiaries as well as the yet to be enrolled number, presence of black topping of the villages' roads and whether black topping is required, whether the villages have necessary pump sets for proper irrigation of the agricultural lands, presence of soil card holders, whether the people have crop insurance benefits etc will be collected under the Health Department, the source added.
Detailed reports on presence of Anganwadi Centres, presence of Chief Ministergi Sotharabasingi Tengbang beneficiaries, old age pension beneficiaries, whether the villagers are getting proper Food Security benefits under CAF&PD, presence of free LPG connection under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) scheme, how many houses have been constructed under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana - Gramin (PMAY-G) will be collected as well as reports on whether the villages are getting power/electricity, number of beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana will be collected.
On the other hand, the Chief Secretary also issued similar notifications to the administrative secretaries directing them to submit detailed reports about the budgetary provisions of the respective Departments as well as how many beneficiaries they have been able to reach and how many households they have been able to cover etc, by April 25, the source added.
