IGNTU-RCM basks on 5th B' Day celebration

The Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, Regional Campus Manipur basked in celebrating its 5th Foundation Day today at its campus located at Adimjati Complex, Chingmeirong.
The celebration programme was graced by Management Committee member of IGNTU-RCM, Prof Gangmumei Kamei; OSD (CC/GPF), Directorate of Higher Education, Th Oliver Monsang and Director (i/c) IGNTU-RCM, Dr N Surjitkumar as the chief guest, guest of honour and president respectively.
Speaking at the occasion, Prof Gangmumei Kamei said that efforts have been made from the Govt side to make the University a full-fledged one.
Dr N Surjitkumar said that the Regional Campus of the University has six permanent teachers.
He also announced that Master degree programme in Sociology, Tribal Study and PhD programme would be introduced in the regional campus from next academic session.
Further, Dr Surjitkumar said that the campus is slated to move to its site at Makhan village from next year while also saying that concerted efforts were made to provide internet facility in the library.
He also appealed all concerned�students, staff and university authority, to extend mutual cooperation towards the realisation of making the university a full-fledged one.
