MSF bans INVEN's medicines

Manipuri Students' Federation (MSF) has banned all the medicines manufactured by INVEN Pharmaceuticals Pvt Ltd all over the State and appealed the pharmacies not to sell the same.
Informing this to media persons at its office at Keishampat Konjeng Hajari Leikai here tonight, General Secretary of MSF RN Koireng claimed that a dextrose injection manufactured by the said company bought from a pharmacy of Public Hospital at Minuthong Hatta was found to have fungus inside.
The dextrose injection in question has a manufacture date of March 2013 and expiry date of February 2015.When fungus and other things were found in the medicine it shows that INVEN Pharmaceuticals Pvt Ltd do not exercise quality maintenance in its products.
The said company can no longer be trusted to have maintained the quality of its other products (medicine) too, Koireng maintained.
He continued to say that it is a serious issue when the quality is not maintained of the life saving products.
Therefore, MSF has resolved to ban the sale of all the products manufactured by the said company in the entire State.
Imphal Drug Promote at Thangal Bazar is the stockist of the said dextrose injection with fungus manufactured by INVEN Pharmaceuticals Pvt Ltd, he added and said, "It is also susprising that the pharmacy of Public Hospital continued to sell the medicine even after knowing that it contained fungus.
Such act is trying to take life instead of saving" .
Appealing the doctors not to prescribe the medicines manufactured by the mentioned company and the pharmacies not to sell the same, Koireng warned of dire consequences if they continue to sell the said products.
The Government is also appealed to look into the matter seriously, and MSF will start paying special attention in such matter.
