Flood lights handed over

Flood lights were handed over to the people of Moirang Municipal Council Ward No 2 and 3 from MLA local area development fund by P Sharatchandra, MLA Moirang A/C as part of the ongoing initiative to better the health of youths and produce excellent sportspersons from Moirang.
Twelve 150 watt flood lights and necessary electric poles etc were handed over to the volunteers of Moirangthem Youth Development Organization (MYDO), Moirangthem Leikai and sixteen 150 watt flood lights with necessary electric poles were handed over to the volunteers of Sunusiphai Sporting Club (SSC), Sunusiphai Phubala.
A simple event held today at Moirangthem Leikai Mandop for the handing over ceremony had notable attendees which included P Sharatchandra, MLA Moirang A/C; K Ibemcha, former councillor of Moirang Municipal Council Ward No 3; H Shyamkumar, intending candidate of Moirang Municipal Council Ward No 2; K Amuyaima, former councillor and elders of the locality as well as MYDO volunteers.
P Sharatchandra spoke to the gathering and explained that the flood lights were handed over in order to provide the opportunity to indulge in sports even during night time as requested by the people of Sunusiphai and Moirangthem Leikai.
It is worth noting that previously flood lights had been distributed in different localities of Moirang A/C with plans for the same in Kwakta.
