Imphal, August 28:
The police action they have suffered during their self immolation bid in front of Chief Minister's bungalow on July 24 last demanding lifting of black laws is said to have taken its toll on the health condition of the five volunteers of Manipur Forward Youth Front who are presently undergoing treatment at RIMS Hospital, Lamphelpat.
Clogged blood cells or E-ashiba as it is known in common parlance is said to have been formed on most parts of their bodies where the police personnel had allegedly hit with staff and gun-butts to dissuade them from committing the self immolation act, thereby complicating the problems and delaying the process of recovery.

He alleged that police personnel had hit his left leg repeated with lathis while it was on fire.
Moirangthem Rajan of Sagolband Meino Leirak, who suffered burn injuries even at his private parts, also alleged that police personnel have beaten him up on the very parts of the bodies which had engulfed in the flame.
He said he was still feeling very weak and could not sit or stand properly.
Bikey Yambem, Oinam Naoba and Khaidem Sanjoy also have the same complaints and alleged police of having use force against them.
All five of them attempted to immolate themselves in front of Chief Minister's bungalow on July 24 last.
