33 per cent of the Muslim population of the State are pursuing education in different institutes, he said, out of this 33 per cent, only 3 per cent of the students are attending classes at Madrasas.
7 per cent of the students are attending classes at different private and Government schools, he said adding that 23 per cent of the children are working as child labour.
He further said, out of around 100 Madrasas of the State, 30 are getting benefits through Prime Minister's 15-Point Programme.
Under this programme, he added, four computer sets and laboratory equipment have been provided to these selected Madrasas.
He said that English, Maths and Social Science subjects have also been added in these Madrasas.
