PM KISAN scheme launched across districts

The Deputy Commissioner of the Bishnupur district, Pawan Yadav has launched Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN), a centrally sponsored scheme, at Panchayat Resource Centre, Mini Secretariat Complex, Bishnupur today.
Speaking at the occasion, the Commissioner said that the scheme will benefit those farmers who have applied for the scheme as per the guideline.
"Landholder farmer families with total cultivable holding up to 2 hectares will get a benefit of Rs 6000/- per annum in three installments" he informed.
During the programme, the first instalment of money under the scheme has been deposited in the bank accounts of 60 farmers directly.
The programme was organized by District Administration in coordination with the District Agriculture Office, Bishnupur while Dr Salam Dhana, Youth Coordinator, NYK; L Manikanta, BDO, Bishnupur; K Jadumani, BDO, Moirang; and Netu Singh, AC to DC attended the function as presidium members.
CCpur: PM-KISAN was also launched at CCpur & Pherzawl districts by Deputy Commissioner, Churachandpur, Shyam Lal Poonia today at DTC Hall, Tuibong.
The DC also handed over selection letter to the selected beneficiaries during the programme.
Speaking at the occasion, DC Poonia said that the scheme is a part of the Government's effort to address farmers' distress which will supplement the financial needs of the small and marginal farmers in procuring various inputs to ensure proper yield of crop.
It will also commensurate with the anticipated farm income at the end of each crop cycle.
The DC further added that the funds under this scheme would be transferred to the bank account of the beneficiaries electronically with a pattern similar to MGNREGS.
Meanwhile, PM-KISAN was also launched for Pherzawl district by T Paukhanlian, Chairman, ADC Churachandpur at the camp office of Pherzawl DC located at Tuibong, Ccpur today.
The launch programme was attended by DC Pherzawl Mannuamching and other DLOs.
Tamenglong: The District Administration of Tamenlong has launched Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN), an income transfer scheme of Gol, at Shekinu-Inn, Tamenlong district Headquarter today.
Ravinder Singh, IAS, Deputy Commissioner of Tamenlong and S P Lovejoy, District Agriculture Officer, Tamenlong attended the function as chief guest and guest of honour respectively.
Speaking at the event, Ravinder Singh said that the PM-KISAN scheme is aimed at supplementing the financial needs of the small and marginal farmers.
Under the scheme, small and marginal farmers with less than two hectares of land will get cash in their accounts in three instalments of Rs 2,000 each, he said and added that Aadhaar and bank account is mandatory for claiming benefits under the said scheme.
10 farmers from Tamenlong and Tousem were given a certificate of beneficiaries on the occasion.
Large numbers of people including village chairman, Church leaders, NGOs, and farmers from Tamenglong district took part in the event among others.
Senapati: Launching programme of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) was also held at DRDA Hall, Senapati under Agriculture Department.
The programme was attended by Somorjit Salam, IAS, DC, Senapati, Lalmani Singh, MCS, ADC, Senapati, DLOs along with several farmers of different villages of the region.
Speaking at the program, DC Somorjit Salam said that the scheme, which aims to provide monetary assistance, was launched in consideration of the several difficulties faced by farmers due to various natural calamities in the country.
The DC then handed over the intimation letters of selected beneficiaries under the scheme.
Chandel: The live telecast/webcast of inauguration of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme was conducted at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Chandel today at KVK Chandel's Conference Hall, Monsangpantha, Chandel.
At the outset of the programme, Dr Deepak Singh, Sr Scientist & Head, KVK Chandel gave the keynote address on the programme while Th Motilal Singh, ACTO (Agril Extension) briefed on the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme to the farmers and thereafter the live telecast of PM Maan Ki Baat and inaugural programme of the scheme PM Kisan Samman Nidhi was telecast.
The programme was attended by 70 farmers and staff of KVK Chandel.
