Floating photo exhibition held at Sendra

A Floating Photo Exhibition on "8 years of Seva, Sushan, Garib Kalyan and Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav" was held today at Loktak Lake Tourism Development Co-operative Society Ltd, Sendra.
The photo exhibition was organised as a part of the Integrated Communication and Outreach Programme (ICOP) by Central Bureau of Communication Regional Office, Imphal, Manipur under the aegis of Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India.
It was also attended by Dr RK Ranjan Singh, Union Minister of State for External Affairs & Education; Tongbram Robindro Singh, Chairman, MSPDCL and B Narayanan, Director General (NEZ), Guwahati, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India as presidium members.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr RK Ranjan Singh highlighted the various projects and schemes initiated by the Union Government for the welfare of the people.
"After Independence, India faced a lot of challenges in terms of economy, science and technology, etc.
Now, we have started the green revolution, developed a lot of technology and produced our own COVID-19 vaccine", he added.
Pointing out that hundreds of freedom fighters have been forgotten and left out, the MoS said, "We have missed out many key pieces of our history, only a few people are reflected in Indian history" .
Dr RK Ranjan continued that the present Government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi is trying to rediscover those unsung heroes to be included in the composite history of India.
"Research scholars and academicians are working to find out the accounts & contributions of these people, which are to be reflected in Indian history", he concluded.
