CADA observes 14th Foundation Day

Coalition Against Drugs & Alcohol (CADA) has observed 14th Foundation Day at the conference Hall of its head office located at Pureiromba Khongnang Makhong, near Palace Compound at 11 am today.
The observance was observed by maintaining social distancing and following the COVID-19 containment SOPs, a statement added.
The Foundation day function was attended by Hijam Priyokumar - President, CADA; Thokchom (o) Ramani -President, All Manipur Women's Social Reformation & Development Samaj (Nupi Samaj) and Y K Dhiren - Convener, Joint Committee on Inner Line Permit System (JCILPS) as presidium members.
The function began by paying tribute to Joy Nongmaithem - former advisor and by observing a two minutes silence as a mark of respect to the departed soul.
Secretary of CADA , in his speech elaborated on its activities in fighting the menace of drugs amd alcohol and said that the CADA was established on this day of 2006 with 11 like minded Civil Society Organisations.
While deliberating on the hardships that the CADA faced in fighting the social menace , the CADA secretary Geetchandra Mangang said that it is against the wishes of the people to take up measures for legalization of Ganja Plantation in the state.
A Quarterly journal of CADA called "Health for Future" Volume I, Issue XXVIII was also released on the occasion.
