Civil Sect: CM instructs round the clock work

Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi' s visit to the State in mid-March, Chief Minister N Biren Singh along with Works Minister Th Biswajit Singh inspected the ongoing construction works of Civil Secretariat located at Mantripukhri in Imphal East district today.
Wangoi AC MLA O Lukhoi, Naoriya Pakhanglakpa AC MLA S Subhaschandra, Chief Secretary RR Rashmi, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) J Suresh Babu, Principal Secretary (Planning) Vineet Joshi, Commissioner (Works) K Radhakumar, senior engineers of Public Works Department and other officials of State Government were also present at the inspection.
The Chief Minister and the Works Minister were briefed by senior engineers of PWD about the ongoing construction works.
Later, they had a look of the rooms, outer designs of buildings and the complex.
After making assessment of the work progress, N Biren instructed the officials to depute more workers and continue working till late night so that the project is ready for inauguration by the Prime Minister during his visit.
Th Biswajit said that more workers would be engaged within a few days in addition to the present strength of around 250 workers to speed up the work progress.
