Imphal, October 16 2016:
Thadou Students’ Association, GHQs has stated that Thadou-Kuki (MIL) will be implemented at higher secondary level from next academic session onwards.
Due to delay in intimation of the orders by the authority concerned, Thadou-Kuki (MIL) could not be implemented this year.
Nevertheless, Principals of some higher secondary schools had assured of offering Thadou-Kuki(MIL) subject in the current academic session if registration process of the students regarding subject combination can be altered.
However, considering the inconvenience in altering the subject combination, the Principals assured of offering the same from the next academic session.
TSA team also met the Controller of Examination and Secretary of COHSEM wherein the matter was discussed at length.
The meeting resolved to include Thadou-Kuki (MIL) as one of the elective subjects in place of Alternative English in all the higher secondary schools from the next academic session, the statement said.
It also extended apology to the students for the inconvenience caused.
