Dhanamanjuri College of Teacher Education celebrates 49th foundation day

The 49th foundation day of Dhanamanjuri College of Teacher Education was celebrated at the college today.
The programme started by paying floral tributes to the photo of Maharani Dhanamanjuri by the staff and teachers of the college led by Principal Dr RK Lokendra Singh.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr RK Lokendra Singh said that teachers undergoing training in the college play a major role in educating the students.
He further said that the teachers should ensure that the students are being led towards the right path to strive for a developed society.
As a part of the programme, the magazine of the college for the academic session 2019-20 was also released.
Dr Ch Shantikumar Singh, Assistant Professor and magazine-in-charge said that the magazine has been released to instill the idea of literary activity among the teachers and to focus on real school teaching.
Later, the Principal also flagged off the annual Community Contact and Extension Programme of the college which will be held for two days.
The trainee teachers were divided into 5 houses and volunteers of 3 houses donated essential and edible items to Punya Children Home for Girls at Thangmeiband Yumnam Leikai and Uripok Tondonsana School today.
Dr RK Lokendra Singh said that the programme has been taken up based on the idea of role of teachers at community level and to render social service.
