Owner of The Sangai Express and intending candidate from Keishamthong Assembly segment, Nishikant Singh Sapam has categorically stated that participation/engagement of youths in political processes is crucial in building a stable and peaceful society.
While interacting with the youths of Keishamthong and other ACs during a function at Changangei, Nishikant said that people intending to contest elections should be familiar to the youths.
It is equally important for the people to have information of the politicians/candidates, their educational qualifications and source of income while exercising their franchise, he said and maintained that politics means serving people and not doing business.
"I am allergic to corruption," Nishikant said and assured that he will lead by example by staying away from the filth of lucre.
Only deserving candidates ought to be selected in any competitive examinations and only the best should be chosen for any Government job or any work, he further said.
The programme organised by Youth Wing, Nishikant for Keishamthong was also attended by Advocate Ph Chaoba and entrepreneur P Nikki.
