Imphal, August 12 2015:
Demanding a white paper on the recent peace accord signed between the Government of India and NSCN (IM) for making it public, the Irabot Foundation Manipur has on Wednesday asked the Centre whether the agreement was a secret plot to destabilize the entire Northeast.
A press release signed by Secretary General of Irabot Foundation Manipur, Kh Gopen Luwang warned the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Govt at the Centre and other political parties for allegedly attempting to disintegrate Manipur.
Praising all efforts to bring a concrete solution to the long-pending Indo-Naga conflict, the release said that Irabot Foundation Manipur is ready to support and take part in any activities and decision taken up by All Manipur United Clubs' Organisation (AMUCO) to safeguard the erstwhile independent nation's territorial boundary.
While saying that Manipuris had already shown their true colour during former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and former Home Minister LK Advani, the statement also warned the current Central Govt to own up responsibility for any eventual unwanted outcome due to the secret plot.
The statement also urged all political parties of the State to form an all political party committee to pressurise the Govt of India and safeguard the territorial integrity of Manipur.
