MSPCL suspends Assistant Engineer for involvement in criminal case

The Manipur State Power Company Limited has suspended one of its employees, who has been recently promoted to Assistant Manager (Elect) after the office found him involved in a criminal case.
A civil society body called 'Kangleipak Kanba Lup" has been alleging the person to have cheated a girl and exploited her for around 10 years when they were staying at Goa on the promise that she will be taken as his wife.
However, the person reportedly break up the promise and even filed case against the lady as she approached him about the promise he made, as the person broke all relationship and married a lady leaving her.
The person tried to conceal the matter from the MSPCL authority but for reason best known he even applied for anticipatory bail.
As per the complaint from the lady, the Imphal East police filed a FIR case and was arrested.
A Government servant against whom a proceeding has been taken for arrest for debt but who is not actually detained in custody may be placed under suspension by an order under clause (a) of Rule 10 (1) of the Central Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1965.But the case is a serious one and as per the CCS rule and as per the service rule of the MSPCL, Managing Director of the MSPCL had put the Assistant Manager under suspension.
