CHC on the verge of getting flooded

Bishnupur, August 06 2017:
The Moirang rural hospital which has been downgraded to the level of a Community Health Centre is on the verge of getting flooded as the road and footpath around the hospital has been already flooded and the water is about to sweep inside the building, reports our correspondent .
Besides the danger of imminent flood, the condition of the hospital which provides assistance not only to people of three ACs of Bishnupur district but also to the inhabitants of Churachandpur district, remains unchanged .
The infrastructure of the hospital is in a perilious state because of the wear and tear and the situation has worsened as the water level began to enter inside the hospital premises creating inconveniences to the patients and passer-by .
The situation was lightened when the hospital management committee took the initiative to repair the footpath inside the hospital premises with their own money .
The hospital management committee stated that the State Government has not taken any steps to repair the condition, infrastructure and facilities of the hospital .
For the betterment of the people, the locals as well as the committee urged the State Government and the authority concerned to improve the condition of the hospital at the earliest.
