National Integration Tour

Thoubal Battalion of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) is organising a 15 day long National Integration Tour (NIT) for 24 students of various schools of Thoubal district of Manipur from 01 to 16 October as part of the Assam Rifles's ongoing outreach programme to foster the spirit of national integration across the entire swathe of the country.
Brigadier Amit Kabthiyal, Sena Medal, Commander 9 sector Assam Rifles along with Mr P Brojen Singh, MLA Wanjing flagged off the tour at Phundrei headquarters of the Thoubal Battalion of Assam Rifles on 01 October 2018.The flagging off event was attended by local leaders, teachers and parents of the children participating in the tour.
The participants interacted with Brigadier Amit Kabthiyal, Sena Medal and Mr P Brojen Singh, MLA Wangjing and expressed their excitement in participating in the NIT.
This is the first time for all the students to be travelling outside the state.
As part of the tour the students will visit various cultural and historical places, shopping malls and famous landmarks in New Delhi and Pune.
In the national capital they will have the honour of meeting and interacting with the Hon'ble President of India at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
The tour is intended to broaden their horizon and provide the students an insight into the rich heritage of the country, various developmental and industry initiatives, various career options as well as provide them with a platform to interact with renowned personalities.
