UDH resumes normal service

Following an order of the State Government to keep all health centres in the district functional, Ukhrul District Hospital (UDH) has resumed normal service with the intervention of the Deputy Commissioner.
Deputy Commissioner of Ukhrul, Krishna Kumar said all problems and issues must be settled through proper dialogue and with mutual understanding.
The Deputy Commissioner also issued strict instructions to all doctors to follow the Government directive and ensure normal functioning of all other health centres including the Community Health Centres and Primary Health Centres.
All medical services including OPD and Emergency Services must be provided in all health centres of the district, he said.
The DC also urged the people of Ukhrul district to visit the hospital and the health centres for treatment of any ailments.
Further, sources said all SDOs/BDOs have also been instructed to coordinate with all the health centres in their respective jurisdictions to ensure that the medical establishments remain functional.
Meanwhile, in a statement, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr Kapangring and Medical Superintendent (MS) Dr Reisangmi of Ukhrul District Hospital stated that all Medical Officers, doctors and nurses were present and on duty at the time when Deputy Commissioner Krishna Kumar visited the hospital at Hungpung.
