Imphal, September 30 2013:
Close on the heels of the Thadou Students' Association, Imphal and Bangaluru registering its opposition to the use of the term 'Kuki' in the soon to be released eBible, the TSA Sadar Hills has today urged the concerned authority, particularly Dr T Lunkim to reconsider and make proper correction regarding the would be released
'e-Bible in Kuki' .
There is no particular 'Kuki Language,' and Thadou or Thadou-Kuki language cannot be term as 'Kuki language,' a statement issued by the president of TSA-SH, SL Seipu asserted.
Urging Dr T Lunkim, founder and the Administrative Secretary of KCC, Deulahlane, Imphal to kindly drop the soon to be released e-Bible in Kuki if the language should not be called as Thadou or Thadou-Kuki language while also appealing to the Bible Society of India (BSI) to properly understand whether Thadou or Thadou-Kuki language can be known as 'Kuki Language' .
"The BSI should look into this matter and check whether the inauguration of the said Bible is permissible or not, and make necessary intimation with Lunkim if it (BSI) felt necessary and appropriate to our appeal.
Popularising the term Kuki in any way or in other wrong ways is that of releasing the said Bible, and propagating the term 'Kuki' among the innocent laymen is unacceptable by the whole Kukis in anyway, rather this will be a great weapon for the disintegration of the Kuki society," it said.
