Dr Nara acknowledges positive response from people

Imphal, April 16 2019: Acknowledging the immense positive response from the people, CPI candidate for Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency, Dr M Nara has expressed confidence that he would win the election.

Speaking to media persons at his residence at Singjamei Thongam Leikai today, Nara said that in the recent days, he began receiving increased support from many people voluntarily and lauded the support rendered by Muslim Nara Supporting Committee of Kshetrigao area.

Stating that such increased support from the people is a positive development, Nara informed that many Muslim youth organised a road show today which covered Singjamei, Langthabal, Lilong, Wangoi, Mayang Imphal, Naoriya Pakhanglakpa, Keishamthong and Yaiskul Assembly Constituencies.

Various political parties like JD (U), Aam Admi Party have also started offering support, he said adding that this is the best feeling in the course of the campaign till date.

Nara also conveyed that his campaign is crowd funded with help from the donations he received from the people and well wishers, including those who attended his flag hoisting ceremony.

The people came out to help with the campaign, brought out their own vehicles, and many people even donated money during the campaign, Nara said.

Exuding confidence that he will surely win the election, Nara said that he has the backing of the people and numerous organisations, adding that he is prepared to represent the people and battle many of the issues plaguing the State for the welfare of the public.

On the other hand, JD (U) president Hangkhanpau said that now is the right time to back a veteran politician like Dr Nara for the betterment of the State.

He further expressed gratitude to the public for the unending support to the CPI candidate and reasoned that Dr Nara is the most qualified man who can represent the people of Manipur in the Parliament.

If a candidate becomes an MP through money or muscle power, he or she is not respected by the people.

However, Dr M Nara is an international figure and it is JD (U)'s belief that he will be able to effectively address the issues of Manipur in Parliament and this is the sole reason why the JD (U) pledged support to him, Hangkhanpau added.
