Recording of the confessional statement given by Hopeson Ningshen before the Sally Arora Metropolitan Magistrate, Tis Hazare Court, Delhi has been handed over to the CBI Special Judge, Patiala House Court, Delhi on June 6. Lt Col Hopeson Ningshen of the NSCN-IM who is currently languishing in Tihar Jail is the prime accused in the triple murder case of Kasom Khullen SDO Dr Thingnam Kishan and his two subordinate staff -- Token and Rajen.
The three were bludgeoned to death in February 2009. Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club here this afternoon, chairman of the JAC Against the Killing of Dr Kishan, Token and Rajen, S Tikendrajit reminded that Kishan, Token and Rajen were abducted by NSCN-IM cadres from Ukhrul before they were murdered and abandoned in the most savage manner at Lukhrabi Thong, Senapati district.
By an order of the Supreme Court, the murder case was handed over to the CBI on January 31, 2010.Subsequently, CBI registered a case RC 223 (S)/2009 IMPH and is investigating the case.

Out of 58 schedules fixed for the case so far, statements have been given at 37 schedules.
However, two key witnesses of the case have been staying away from the case despite repeated summons.
Moreover, three co-accused of the murder case cannot be apprehended till date.
With regard to this particular case, senior Public Prosecutor AK Singh is appearing for the CBI while ND Pancholi is the defence counsel.
Supreme Court Advocate Collin is legal representative of the victim families.
Members of the JAC as well as victim families have been keeping a close tab on the progress of the case.
The next rounds of hearing for the case have been fixed on July 5, July 17 and July 18, said Tikendrajit further.
The JAC's convenor Kapoor informed that the case filed by Dr Kishan's father Th Surendra at Gauhati High Court against the then Ukhrul DC Pankaj Kumar Pal is approaching its final stage.
However, no specific date has been fixed for the next hearing.
Even though the Supreme Court's order regarding transfer of the murder case to the CBI clearly laid down that the CBI and the State Government should bear the charge for hiring legal representative for the victim families and provide other assistance, the victim families have been paying all the charges of hiring Advocate Collin.
The JAC has conveyed the same matter to the JAC in writing many times but there has been no response till date.
As such, the JAC is preparing to file a complaint for contempt of court against the State Government, Kapoor said.
He further informed that a memorial complex would be developed around the site where a memorial stone has been already erected near Uripok Cheirap Court.
The memorial complex has been already christened Mapari Ningshingkol, he added.
