14 test positive, 20 discharged

Imphal, March 12 2022:
With 14 samples confirmed positive out of 1,104 samples tested for Covid-19 during the last 24 hours, the State logged a daily positivity rate of 1.3 per cent.
The 14 positive cases are residents of Imphal East (2), Imphal West (2), Thoubal (2), Churachandpur (1), Kamjong (2), Senapati (4) and Ukhrul (1) .
The death toll remains unchanged at 2116 as there was no report of Covid related death during the past 24 hours.
Following recovery, 20 Covid-19 positive people were discharged during the last 24 hours from home isolation (10), RIMS (5), JNIMS (1) and CCCs (4) .
The cumulative number of Covid-19 positive cases in the State now stands at 1,36,976 (general population 1,31,962 and Central security personnel 5,014) .
This figure includes 93 active cases (general population 89 and Central security personnel 4) and 1,34,767 recovered cases (general population 1,29,764 and Central security personnel 5,003) .
The recovery rate as on Saturday is 98.39 per cent.
A total of 223 D-type oxygen cylinders and 65 B-type oxygen cylinders were made available to different health facilities of the State yesterday.
Currently, 290 (out of 300) Covid beds are vacant at JNIMS and another 119 (out of 190) at RIMS, according to a bulletin issued by Additional Director (Health) and Covid-19 Common Control spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang.
Taking into account 4141 doses jabbed yesterday, the cumulative number of Covid vaccine doses administered in the State has reached 27,47,740 (first dose 15,21,590, second dose 11,63,358 and precautionary dose 62,792) .
Till Friday, 49.69 per cent of the State's total eligible population has been given both the first and second doses of Covid vaccine while 61.28 per cent has received the first dose.
