One more death, 116 new cases added to total caseload
Daily positivity rate comes down to new low of 4.3 pc

The State reported a daily test positivity rate of 4.3 percent on Thursday with the addition of 116 fresh Covid cases including 1 CAPF personnel and 1 death in the last 24 hours.
The Covid positive cases were confirmed at RIMS (9), JNIMS (7) and other testing centres (100) while the sole death reported from Bishnupur was fully vaccinated.
With these, the cumulative figure of Covid cases and death toll have increased to 1,21,578 and 1,876 respectively while the active cases now stand at 1,752 .
Significantly, none of the 16 districts reported a daily test positivity rate in double digit with Pherzawl registering the highest at 9.1 percent for the period.
The number of single day recoveries updated by the COVID-19 Common Control Room also exceeded the positive cases with at least 140 persons discharged from Home Isolation (33), RIMS (11), JNIMS (8) and CCCs (88), today, improving the recovery rate to 97.01 as compared to 96.99 on Wednesday.
The 115 new positive cases from the general population are from Imphal East (33), Imphal West (59), Thoubal (5), Bishnupur (5), Kakching (2), Ukhrul (3), Churachandpur (2), Chandel (2), Kamjong (1), Pherzawl (1) and Noney (2) .
On the other hand, 912 D-type and 104 B-type oxygen cylinders were distributed to different health care facilities at Manipur in the last 24 hours while 9,278 Covid vaccine doses were administered on October 6 .
So far, a total of 17,49,356 Covid vaccine doses have been administered (1st dose 12,29,107 and 2nd dose 5,20,249), according to the bulletin.
As enumerated by the COVID-19 Common Control Room, COVID-19 beds available at different health care centres are RIMS (general beds 201; ICU/HDU beds 23), JNIMS (general beds 56; ICU/HDU beds 11), CMC Koirengei (general beds 29; ICU/HDU beds 08), Iboyaima Hospital (general beds 25; ICU/HDU beds 5), Jivan Hospital (general beds 20; ICU/HDU beds 5), Shija Hospital (general beds 58; ICU/HDU beds 38) and Raj Medicity (general beds 76; ICU/HDU beds 22) .
