Imphal, August 07 2011:
The Sadar Hills Districthood Demand Committee (SHDDC) which has been spearheading a protest movement for conversion of Sadar Hills to a full fledged district has agreed to talk with the Government.
Despite the offer of the Chief Minister for dialogue on the issue of Sadar Hills, the SHDDC had resolved not to talk with the Government till August 6 .
An important functionary of the SHDDC informed The Sangai Express that a meeting of the committee was held today and they discussed the Chief Minister's offer for dialogue.
After deliberating on the offer, the meeting resolved to accept the Chief Minister's offer, and talk with the Government tomorrow.
Despite the scheduled talk with the Government, there is no questioning of relaxing the ongoing agitation.
Rather, the agitation would be intensified, the functionary said.
