During the recent meeting between AICC president Sonia Gandhi, Chief Minister Ibobi and Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam on the demand for a major Ministry reshuffle, Sonia Gandhi told Ibobi and Gaikhangam to work for strengthening Congress party in the State.
The MLAs are of the opinion that Sonia Gandhi's instruction was very significant.
Ibobi during the meeting with the MLAs this morning remarked that the demand for Ministry reshuffle was justified.
The Chief Minister also assured that majority of his Council of Ministers would be replaced, conveyed one MLA.
The MLAs are hopeful that the Ministry reshuffle may be effected after forthcoming Assembly session which starts on July 11 .
Meanwhile, information received by the press says that the demand for Ministry reshuffle was raised after the MLAs were snubbed repeatedly by three/four incumbent Ministers.
It is reported that all Cabinet Ministers would not be replaced.
Only three/four Ministers are likely to be replaced.
The MLAs have already made clear that they would not raise any voice of dissent when MLAs trusted by the Chief Minister are inducted into the Council of Minister.
