COVID-19: Death toll hits 1868 in State

Imphal, October 04 2021:
The death toll in the State reached 1,868 with six more COVID-19 deaths reported in the last 24 hours while result of 100 samples out of 1,955 tested in the same period returned positive.
With this addition of 100 fresh Covid cases, the active cases now stand at 2,202 while the latest daily test positivity rate updated by the COVID-19 Common Control Room is 5.1 percent.
The 100 fresh Covid cases (52 male and 48 female) from among the general population were confirmed at RIMS (3), JNIMS (3) and other testing centres (94) and are from Imphal East (29), Imphal West (30), Thoubal (4), Bisnhupur (7), Kakching (2), Ukhrul (16), Churachandpur (34), Chandel (1), Senapati (3), Pherzawl (1) and Kangpokpi (4) .
The six Covid deaths reported are from Imphal East (2), Imphal West (3) and Ukhrul (1).All the deceased had co-morbidity while only one of them had 1st dose of Covid vaccine.
Altogether 154 persons were discharged after recoveries from Home Isolation (43), RIMS (2), JNIMS (15), CCCs (87) and CHICs (7) on Monday.
The recovery rate now stands at 96.64 percent.
A total of 1062 D-type and 382 B -type cylinders were given to different healthcare facilities in Manipur in the last 24 hours while 997 Covid vaccine doses were administered on Sunday (October 3) .
As enumerated by the COVID-19 Common Control Room, COVID-19 beds available at different health care centres are RIMS (general beds 199; ICU/HDU beds 23), JNIMS (general beds 48; ICU/HDU beds 14), CMC Koirengei (general beds 27; ICU/HDU beds 08), Iboyaima Hospital (general beds 25; ICU/HDU beds 5), Jivan Hospital (general beds 20; ICU/HDU beds 5), Shija Hospital (general beds 56; ICU/HDU beds 38) and Raj Medicity (general beds 72; ICU/HDU beds 23) .
