25 new cases, one death reported

Imphal, February 28 2022:
Manipur witnessed 25 fresh infections, one death and 41 discharges during the last 24 hours.
The deceased person belonged to Imphal East, said the COVID-19 Common Control Room, quoting the State Level COVID-19 Deaths Audit Committee.
The deceased person was suffering from co-morbidities and was not vaccinated.
With one more death reported, the total number of persons claimed by the virus has gone up to 2112 .
The positive cases were detected during testing at RIMS (1), JNIMS (1) and other testing centres (23) .
The infected persons are from Imphal East (7), Imphal West (5), Thoubal (1), Bishnupur (2), Senapati (2), Tamenglong (1), Tengnoupal (2), Ukhrul (1), Noney (3) and Churachandpur (1) .
41 persons were discharged in the last 24 hours from home isolation (25), RIMS (5), JNIMS (5) and CCCs (6) .
The recovery rate stands at 98.22 percent and the total number of recovered cases is 1,34,349 including 4989 Central security personnel.
The cumulative number of positive cases in Manipur is now 1,36,783 including 5009 Central security personnel and the number of active cases is now 322 inclusive of 13 Central security personnel.
On February 27 a total of 935 Covid vaccines were administered taking the total to 27,06,820 .
This includes 11,36,836 second dose and 59,213 precautionary dose.
Till date 48.56 percent of the eligible population have received the second dose of the vaccine and 60.99 percent the first dose.
