Active cases come down to 220

Imphal, January 21 2021:
The total number of COVID-19 actives cases has come down to 220 (general population 212 and Central security personnel 8) even though 19 positive cases were detected during the last 24 hours.
According to a press release issued by Additional Director (Health) and COVID-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang, 19 people tested positive for the virus at RIMS, JNIMS, Hillside Hospital, Shija Hospital, Raj Medicity, Bishnupur, Chandel and Churachandpur.
They belong to Imphal West (10), Imphal East (1), Thoubal (1), Bishnu-pur (1), Chandel (1), Sena- pati (1) and Chura-chandpur (4) .
On the other hand, 43 COVID-19 positive people were discharged during the last 24 hours from CAPF (19), home isolation (8), CCC Lamboi Khong-nangkhong (8), Lanva (1), Shija Hospital (2) and Kakching (5) .
The cumulative number of positive cases is 28,938 (general population 25,519 and Central security personnel 3,419).It includes 28,351 discharged cases (general population 24,944 and Central security personnel 3,407) .
Whereas the death toll stands at 367 as there was no report of COVID-19 related death during the last 24 hours, the recovery rate as on Thursday is 97.97 per cent.
