Barak-Jiribam section has been repaired and developed to a substantial level and the Barak-Noney section would be taken up very soon.
In case the weather condition proves conducive, the highway development work can be executed according to the plan.
Yet, Col Bahl said that the highway work is being impeded to some extent because of the wet season.
Stating that the railway work spilled out mud and earth thereby damaging the highway, Col Bahl informed that the railways authority has been asked to clear the debris, earth as well as mud which have spilled on to the highway.
Moreover, movement of large convoys of vehicles in increased frequency on the highway has been robbing precious working hours.
