Recovery rate now stands at 60 pc; 40 new cases detected

Imphal, July 14 2020:
The State's recovery rate has improved to 60 percent with 50 people recovering today.
As many as 1020 persons have recovered from the disease till today.
With the detection of 40 new cases today, the State's COVID-19 tally has reached 1,699, of which 679 are active cases.
27 positive cases were detected late at RIMS.
Their travel history is not known yet.
Meanwhile, 109 BN CRPF camp has been declared a containment zone after one personnel who returned from leave tested positive for the virus.
District administration Imphal West is taking up all containment and preventive measures and has banned entry and exit of all in the containment zone.
One cop has also tested positive for COVID-19 at Jiribam district which has surfaced as a red zone after the evacuation mission concluded recently.
Rapid antigen testing is in full swing in the district.
However, the district's proposed COVID-19 Care Centre is yet to be opened and it has drawn much criticism from the public.
Following the detection of three cases yesterday among the personnel of the 87 BN CRPF, 108 personnel were tested today and all have been found negative for the virus, said sources.
On the other hand, family members and all close contacts of the girl who tested positive during home quarantine at Thangmeiband Polem Leikai have tested negative, said sources.
Earlier, a report of the COVID-19 Common Control Room showed 46 persons (including 30 cases TSE reported yesterday) as positive.
They hail from Churachandpur (3), Imphal East (4), Imphal West (6), Jiribam (4), Kangpokpi (5), Tamenglong (11), Thoubal (3) and Ukhrul (10) .
All are returnees from other States, and they will be shifted to designated COVID-19 care centres, said the statement of the control room.
On the other hand, 50 persons were discharged from CCCs opened at Meitram (26), Churachandpur (4), Tamenglong (4), Thoubal (2), Senapati (1), Ukhrul (2) and JNIMS.
