Daily TPR drops to 0.5 pc

The State's Covid-19 daily positivity rate or TPR has dropped to just 0.5 per cent as only five samples were confirmed positive out of 930 tested for the virus during the last 24 hours.
There were no deaths due to the virus during the same period of time.
Following recovery, 26 Covid-19 positive people were discharged during the last 24 hours from isolation (22), JNIMS (1), RIMS (1) and CCCs (2) .
Moreover, 108 persons were reported as discharged cases only today due to various reasons.
Therefore the total number of recovered cases is considered as 134 after reconciliation.
As such, the number of active cases has declined to 119 (general population 111 and Central security personnel 8) .
Out of 1,36,903 (general population 1,31,890 and Central security personnel 5,013) cumulative Covid-19 positive cases in the State, 1,34,669 (general population 1,29,671 and Central security personnel 4,998) have already recovered.
The death toll stands at 2115 as there was no report of Covid related death during the last 24 hours.
The recovery rate as on Monday is 98.37 per cent.
The five individuals who were tested positive during the last 24 hours are residents of Imphal East (1), Kakching (2), Bishnupur (1) and Ukhrul (1) .
A total of 252 D-type oxygen cylinders and 76 B-type oxygen cylinders were made available to different health facilities of the State yesterday.
Currently, 283 Covid beds are vacant at JNIMS and another 118 at RIMS.
The cumulative number of Covid vaccine doses administered in the State has reached 27,29,314 (first dose 15,16,809, second dose 11,51,307 and precautionary dose 61,198) .
Till Sunday, 49.18 per cent of the State's total eligible population has received both the first and second doses of Covid vaccine while 61.16 per cent has been given the first dose.
