The State BJP president and former Union Minister Th Chaoba Singh along with M Asnikumar Singh, State BJP general secretary (Admin & Publicity/Propaganda) met BJP Prime Ministerial candidate and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on January 6 at his official residence, Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
The meeting was held shortly after Narendra Modi arrived from Delhi.
The State delegates were granted 25 minutes audience earlier but was subsequently extended to 45 minutes as the party leader was interested in the issues of Manipur, a BJP statement informed.
Narenra Modi is aware of the issues and problems of Manipur and he said that a barren Gujarat which faced problems like water scarcity and lack of energy before 10 years is now one of the best States in the country, with sufficient resources and energy, the statement said.

It may be highlighted here that Modi has been named as the best Chief Minister for 6th consecutive time.
He is confident that Manipur can be transformed into progressive States like Gujarat under a good and capable leadership.
Various issues related to Manipur were discussed at length.
Narendra Modi applauded the achievement of the youths and professionals of the State in the field of culture, art and sports and those sportsmen who bring laurels to the Nation in National and International arenas.
The leader is very much concerned with the conflict and political issues of the State, it stated.
Th Chaoba narrated the 13 years of Congress Govt's misrule' in the State while M Asnikumar Singh, who is also the Convener of the Election Campaign Committee of BJP Manipur Pradesh presented a 15-minute 'Vision for Manipur' .
Asnikumar also lamented on prolonged under-development of National Highway which is the only lifeline of the people.
Modi was shocked to learn the artificial price hike, failure and the recent territorial disputes along the Indo-Myanmar at Moreh sector of the State.
NaMo expressed his concern over the cultural diversity of the State and is hopeful of conserving the bio-diversity of the State, promoting the agriculture and horticulture sectors, thereby boosting the economy of the State.
He also explained about the vibrant Gujarat model where agriculture plays a significant role in making Gujarat one of the most developed States in the country.
He was optimistic that Manipur can become another Gujarat with so many natural resources and water bodies to generate power for setting up industries.
The meeting was attended amongst others by Ex MLA, Sapam Kunjakeshwore (Keba), State executive members along with few Ministers of Gujarat.
Later, the State delegates held an elaborate meeting with senior officials of the Gujarat Government led by AK Sharma, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister.
Earlier, in the morning, the delegates met Saurabh Patel, Minister in charge of 10 Departments like Energy, Planning, Tourism, Education, etc who is the key member in the Narendra Modi Government and discussed at length on developing the State if BJP comes to power.
The State President presented the current political scenario of the State to Narendra Modi, who gave a patent hearings on the changing political scenario in the State.
And, the State President formally invited Narendra Modi to visit Manipur on Feb 8 which the latter responded positively in the interest of the people of Manipur.
"It is an important and historic event as the future Prime Minister of the country will touch the soil of North East India, first at Imphal, ever since he was announced the BJP Prime Ministerial Candidate," the BJP statement said.
Later, Narendra Modi presented gifts to each of the visiting State delegates, a "Statue of Unity" replica for successfully organising "Run for Unity" at Imphal on Dec 15 last year.
