Imphal, May 06 2013:
All the States ruled by Congress party including Manipur have been plagued by multiple scams, remarked BJP National General Secretary Tapir Gao.
Addressing a press meet at BJP Manipur State unit office today, Tapir Gao stated that UPA Government is not working in the interest of the people.
Rather it is caught in a web of
corruption and scams.
Dr Manmohan Singh has no moral right to hold on to the post of Prime Minister.
He should resign from his post otherwise the President should look into the matter.
Corrupt activities of the Union Government led by Dr Manmohan Singh has spread its tentacles to all Congress-ruled States and Manipur is no exception where no official files move without offering bribes.
Tapir Gao said that the price tag for the post of a Sub-Inspector has reached Rs 25 lakhs while it is Rs 17 to 20 lakhs for a staff nurse.
With such huge amounts spent in buying Government posts, no employee can be expected to do their duties sincerely.

This practice of buying Government jobs is the primary reason for Government employees indulging in smuggling drugs, keeping nexus with UG groups, extortion, bomb attacks, delivery of demand letters and all kinds of criminal activities.
The incumbent Congress Government and Chief Minister O Ibobi should be held responsible for all these disturbing activities.
Apart from these corrupt activities, Chief Minister O Ibobi is the main accused in the major scam amounting to Rs 240 crores sanctioned for conservation of Loktak lake.
BJP would not remain a mute spectator to the scam though O Ibobi is tight-lipped so far.
Claiming that BJP understands the plight of fishing families who are dependent on Loktak lake, Tapir Gao assured that BJP would take up all possible measures to redress the plight of fishing families.
BJP Manipur unit president Th Chaoba questioned the possible benefits which can be reaped by the poor people of Manipur from upgrading Imphal airport to the status of an international airport.
Rather than focusing all attention on upgrading Imphal airport to the status of an international airport, it would be more beneficial to the people if the State Government works sincerely to develop Imphal-Jiribam highway to the level of a standard highway.
Decrying the stoic silence of the State Government to media reports about rotting and wastage of rice and wheat at Mantripukhri godown, Chaoba asserted that the Government's silence only exposed it apathy to the woes of the people.
