327 new cases, 4 more deaths recorded

Even as 346 Covid-19 positive people were discharged during the last 24 hours, 327 people including five CAPF personnel were tested positive for the contagion.
With 327 confirmed positive at RIMS (27), JNIMS (46) and other testing centres (254) out of 2137 samples tested for Covid-19, the daily positivity rate is 15.3 per cent.
The 322 civilians who have been tested positive are residents of Imphal East (77), Imphal West (131), Thoubal (27), Bishnupur (17), Kakching (8), Kangpokpi (7), Tamenglong (11), Tengnoupal (1), Ukhrul (12), Senapati (11), Chandel (3) and Churachandpur (17) .
Tamenlong logged the highest daily positivity rate of 28.2 per cent followed by Ukhrul (26.9 per cent), Imphal East (21.4 per cent), Kakching (20 per cent), Thoubal (19.7 per cent) and Kangpokpi (19.4 per cent) .
The State also witnessed four Covid-19 related deaths during the last 24 hours.
As per a report of the State Level Covid-19 Deaths Audit Committee, the four victims hailed from Imphal West, Bishnupur, Kangpokpi and Tamenglong.
Out of them, three had co-morbidities, two had taken second dose of Covid vaccine while the other two were not vaccinated.
In the meantime, 346 persons were discharged from home isolation (231), RIMS (9), JNIMS (9) and CCCs (97) .
The cumulative number of positive cases in the State has reached 1,33,583 (general population 1,28,620 and Central security personnel 4,963) .
This figure includes 3961 active cases (general population 3790 and Central security personnel 171) and 1,27,572 recovered cases (general population 1,22,787 and Central security personnel 4785) .
The recovery rate as on Tuesday is 95.50 per cent.
A total of 246 D-type oxygen cylinders and 96 B-type oxygen cylinders were made available to different health facilities of the State yesterday, according to a bulletin issued by Additional Director (Health) and Covid-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang.
Out of the 300 Covid beds in JNIMS, 65 are currently occupied while 28 out of 190 are occupied at RIMS.
With 11,092 doses administered yesterday, the cumulative number of Covid vaccine doses administered in the State till January 31 has risen to 25,09,889 (first dose 14,30,547, second dose 10,49,545 and precautionary dose 29,797) .
Till Monday, 44.83 per cent of the State's total eligible population has been given both the first and second doses of Covid vaccine while 58.67 per cent has received the first dose.
