Various literary organizations in Manipur have brought out anthologies of poetry. This anthology is one among others. Old and young living poets of Yairipok contributed poetry so that we could hear the voice from Yairipok. The poems in this book reflect the life of the modern age. Md. Rashid Ali repents for the lost of past glory in his poem Mihatpung. M. Nandakishor Sharma is praising the activities of God. Shyamkishor Ayekpam expresses his love of the native land in his poem Koloi Nangi Yairinabi. He also praises the glory of this land. Raghubir Thiyam is searching for light in one poem. He is anguished for his desire of freedom in the poem Ningtamba. Loitongbam Manihal reminds God. Konthoujam Ranjita, the youngest poet of Yairipok expresses her deep feelings in her poems Khonthang, Mongphamgi Doot and Nangi Itihas. A feeling of bloodshed looms large in Ng. Priya’s mind. He writes patriotic poems. In his poems entitled Ahingi Kuchu and Mathangdana Karamba Icha. TP Luwang depicts the present situation in Manipur which is full of violence. Symbols and images are used while expressing his feelings. M.F. Rahman disgusts the social animals of the present Manipur that is what he pens in his poems.
