The booklet features very interesting short tales told by an old man named Chaobhal. The man told the tale to young children. All the tales in this booklet have moral lessons. The first tale entitled Lousingna Pangalni taught the children the wise idea how to defeat a very strong and powerful lion. A small rabbit could kill the mighty beast with his wise plan. He led the lion to a well and asked him to fight with its shadow in the well. The silly lion jumped into the well to fight his own shadow and killed himself. The writer also brought forward the outside tales. The tales centered on the bank of the Godabari River was introduced in this book. The theme of unity is laid in the tale entitled Marup Unaba. The tale entitled Amuk Hanna Uchi Oiyu reflects the moral lesson that we should not forget our creator. Such tales like Saji Amashung Lamhui and Asingba Kwak are included in the curriculum of the school text books. How a cunning fox make friendship with a deer in narrated. With the fox's cunning plan the deer was entrapped. With the help of a crow the deer escaped from the trap. The fox died when the man who set the trap threw a piece of log and hit on his head.
