Subject: e-Videos Learning Class – reg.
The Thadou Students’ Association, General Headquarters (TSA-GHQ) wholeheartedly appreciates the initiative taken-up by your esteemed department in building up e-Videos Learning Classes under the scheme “Samagra Shiksha, Manipur” and recently launched your esteemed self.
We also praise the faculty team, technical team and the department team for coming up with such an innovative package, particularly for the students to raise their knowledge through visual aids. This will enable the student for self-study with proper guidance during this nationwide lockdown due to Covid-19 pandemic.
While going through the videos, it has been found that 95% of the medium of teaching are in Manipuri. This has caused great hardship for the hills students in understanding the lesson.
Moreover, it is felt that this is not a proper approach of a state government that tends to the educational need of varied people of the realm. And, due to language barriers, students of the hill districts would not receive the true benefits of the tutorial videos.
TSA is of the opinion that the medium of teaching in the online video should be made English in view of justice and equality amongst all the schools in the state while English is a medium of instruction in all the schools of the state.
Therefore, we request for your kind and necessary improvement of the existing tutorial videos to be translated into English version in the vast interest of the general public and more particularly to the student fraternity at the earliest possible time.
Thanking you anticipation.
